Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano has admitted that there is now no room for error when his side take on the New England Patriots in the divisional playoff on Saturday night.
Pagano said that one mistake could be enough for either side to lose the game, so he would be trying to ensure that it is the Patriots who come unstuck on the night.
"The margin for error keeps shrinking," he told the club's official website. "It's minute. You can't beat yourself. We know coach Bill Belichick, his staff and his team don't beat themselves. They don't make mistakes.
"We talk all the time about, 'You don't win games in the NFL, you lose games.' It's one-and-done. You can't turn the ball over. You can't make mistakes. You can't have mental errors, foolish penalties. You can't give up big plays. You have to do all [those] things offensively to them.
"The margin for error is very small, even being on the road, playing the team we're playing, the elements, the crowd noise. We're chasing perfection, [trying] to play the best game we can possibly play."
Pagano has been the Colts' coach since 2012.
