Matt Cassel has been selected as the Minnesota Vikings' starting quarterback for their game against the Carolina Panthers this weekend, according to reports.
Christian Ponder, who missed the NFC North side's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Wembley with a rib injury, has been cleared to play this Sunday.
However, ESPN claims that the team will stick with Cassel, who completed 16 of his 25 passes against the Steelers for 248 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory in London has been the Vikings' only win so far this season.
