The Minnesota Vikings have acquired wide receiver Mike Wallace in a trade deal from the Miami Dolphins.
The 28-year-old has spent the past two seasons with the Dolphins after joining the club as a free agent ahead of the 2013 campaign.
However, Wallace became disillusioned with life at the AFC East outfit towards the end of last season and pulled himself out of the second half of the club's final match of the campaign.
As a result, Joe Philbin's side were exploring trade options, and have now collected a fifth-round pick in the 2015 Draft for Wallace, while they have also sent a seventh-round selection to the Vikings.
"We want to have a lot of speed offensively, and we feel like that will help a lot," head coach Mike Zimmer told ESPN.
"With Charles Johnson, it opens up more things for the runners, it opens up more things for the tight end. And with Teddy [Bridgewater], you know, he plays so damn accurate. It opens things up."
Wallace has recorded 375 receptions for 5,834 yards and 47 touchdowns in his six seasons in the NFL.
