The New England Patriots have decided not to place Rob Gronkowski on their physically unable to perform list, according to reports.
The tight end has been recovering from off-season back surgery, and is expected to miss the opening game of the regular season.
However, NFL.com has said that the team are against placing the 24-year-old on the PUP list, which would keep him out of the opening six games.
It is expected that Gronkowski will ready to return towards the end of next month.
