New England Patriots offensive co-ordinator Josh McDaniels has revealed that they will not avoid Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman on Sunday.
Sherman has held opposing passers to a 18.1 passer rating during his post-season career, which is the lowest among active NFL players.
However, McDaniels refuses to let that dictate their plans and revealed that New England aren't planning on avoiding Sherman's side of the field.
"It's not an easy thing to avoid him the whole game. We're going to try not to do that with anybody," McDaniels told reporters.
"We got to go wherever the ball needs to go in the passing game. But I think you need to be sensitive to him and where he's at. He's a great player."
McDaniels conceded that Sherman is a "very intelligent player" given his ability to understand schemes and route concepts which he picks up from studying game film.
