New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz believes that facing cornerback Terrell Thomas in practice is helping the team's offense.

Victor Cruz has said that Terrell Thomas's performance during the New York Giants' practices has been helping the team's offense.

The cornerback has missed the last two seasons with anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

The wide receiver told the team's website: "If you didn't know he had surgery, you couldn't tell. He still has the same competitive edge out there. He's still out there playing, he's not tentative at all, and he's out there going and getting after it and playing.

"It's good to see and it's good for all of us, good for our team as well. He jammed me up pretty good one day out there, I'm not going to lie. But I got him back. There's a little back and forth, just a little competitive stuff to get each other better. But I definitely see him moving in the right direction.

"More than his feet and his footwork, he's smart, he's cerebral, he gets it, he understands how to approach the wide receiver, whoever was lining up on the line, whether they go inside, outside, what hand to shoot. So he's a very smart player and it's definitely competitive for myself and for him."

During 2010, Thomas made 84 tackles, five interceptions and a sack for the Giants.
