Former New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells has insisted that Giants Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor would be his first choice if he were to start an NFL team.

Parcells said that while a quarterback would be the popular choice, Taylor would be his because of the determination he put in each week.

"There are priority positions in this game, quarterback is one of those, so I consider that," Parcells NFL.com quotes Parcells as saying.

"But if you're pinning me down - I'm a little prejudiced - I think I'd take Lawrence Taylor.

"I know he's going to be there every Sunday and try his best to win, for sure."

Taylor played for the Giants his entire career and was selected 10 times for the Pro Bowl.
