New York Jets running back Chris Ivory has made his first practice appearance with his new club, ESPN have revealed.
With Ivory now fit and pushing for a start in an area that the Jets are weak, head coach Rex Ryan said that the player would hopefully start against Jacksonville Jaguars in the second week of pre-season.
"I hope he does play Saturday," Ryan is quoted as saying. "He's a big powerful man. I think every Jet fan is looking forward to seeing him run."
Bilal Powell is currently first choice at running back, but Ivory is expected to start ahead of him when fit.
