The New York Jets have announced that they have cut five players from their roster as they look to free space on their salary cap.
Linebacker Bart Scott is among those to leave, having spent four seasons with the team.
Safety Eric Smith, offensive tackle Jason Smith, tight end Josh Baker and linebacker Calvin Pace have also been cut, clearing around $30m (£19.5m) from the Jets' salary cap.
Baker did not play during the 2012 season, while the other four all had limited roles.
The Jets failed to make the playoffs last season, finishing third in the AFC East.
