Darelle Revis has said that his New York Jets teammates should keep their opinions to themselves.
Media in New York have quoted Jets players as saying that backup quarterback Tim Tebow is "terrible", while others have called for Tebow to replace starting QB Mark Sanchez.
The cornerback told Newsday: "Guys just need to shut up. The situation we're in right now, it happens.
"Quit talking crazy to the media, especially involving your teammates. I think that's the worst, because when you do that, that's when it really gets divided. Because you don't know if you can trust your other teammate."
The Jets have won four of their 11 games this season, and their offence ranks 28th out of the 32 NFL sides.
