New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has revealed that veteran linebacker Calvin Pace urged a rallying call to his teammates to make on last surge this season.
The Jets are 6-7 in their campaign and are still in the hunt for the Wild Card spot, but will need to win all of their remaining games to have a chance of making the post-season.
"Some guys may only see Calvin Pace as a guy who doesn't talk much, other guys may see him in a different light," Ryan told the New York Post.
"The man's smart. He's an 11-year veteran and he's telling you a powerful message. The message was great, because it was from the heart."
Ryan's side face the Carolina Panthers in their week 15 clash.
