Michael Vick: "There's really no patience"

New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick believes that young quarterbacks are under pressure to provide immediate success at their respective franchises.

New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick believes that there is a lot of pressure on young players at his position to win immediately.

Vick will serve as backup at the Jets to second-year player Geno Smith who struggled in his rookie campaign for form at the quarterback position, but still managed to lead the Jets to an 8-8 record.

He told reporters: "There wasn't patience with me, wasn't patience with Brett Favre. I've seen Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco go in there as rookies, Ben Roethlisberger.

"They had to get it done and they got it done. There's really no patience, just being honest. We got to win and we got to win now."

The Jets open their 2014 campaign against the Oakland Raiders on September 7.
