Ben Roethlisberger has been diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain after limping out of the Pittsburgh Steelers' win over the Oakland Raiders at Heinz Field.
The quarterback, who has already missed four games with a knee injury this season, was taken to a nearby hospital for a scan after being forced out in the fourth quarter of the 38-35 win.
According to NFL.com, the injury is expected to keep the 33-year-old out for a few weeks, although the Steelers have their bye week in Week 11 of the season, which could lessen the number of games that he will miss.
Landry Jones or Mike Vick will likely start next week's game against the Cleveland Browns in Roethlisberger's absence.
