Mike Tomlin: Jarvis Jones is "just not doing enough"

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirms that linebacker Jarvis Jones has been dropped from his starting lineup.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has confirmed that he did drop linebacker Jarvis Jones from his starting lineup against the Oakland Raiders.

Jones, the Steelers' 2013 first-round draft pick, played only 11 snaps in his side's defeat as teammate Jason Worilds started in his place, after the 24-year-old played in his side's first six games of the year.

Tomlin told reporters: "He's just not doing enough detail work right now and Jason Worilds is. That's the reality of it. There is more detail in Worilds's work right now than Jarvis's.

"He's got to play better from an assignment standpoint," Tomlin added. "If he can do that he'll be given an opportunity to do that now."

The Steelers face the New England Patriots in week nine.
