The San Diego Chargers have agreed to terms with free agent cornerback Brandon Flowers after he was released by the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 28-year-old made the Pro Bowl for the first time last season and has been signed in order to help boost a San Diego pass defense that finished 29th in passing yards allowed per game last season.
Flowers has 17 interceptions, including three for touchdowns, and 91 pass break-ups in his six-year professional career and is now expected to challenge the likes of Richard Marshall and Shareece Wright.
San Diego now have a full 90-man roster and will have to release a player in order to make room for Flowers, while they will now have 11 cornerbacks on their books.
