San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy believes that quarterback Philip Rivers should be "ready to roll" against the San Francisco 49ers.

Mike McCoy has insisted that Philip Rivers will be "ready to roll" when the San Diego Chargers face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL this weekend.

The quarterback missed practice earlier this week with a back injury, but was able to take part in drills with the team yesterday.

The head coach told reporters: "Philip had an outstanding day. A ball did not hit the ground in all the throws he made today. Philip was Philip, so he'll be ready to roll."

A win tomorrow would boost the Chargers' chances of reaching the playoffs.
