San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree has responded to criticism from Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman following last night's NFC championship game between the two sides.
Sherman denied Crabtree what would have been a match-winning touchdown in the closing stages of the contest before rubbing salt into the wound by launching a scathing attack on the 49ers receiver.
Crabtree admitted that Sherman's final play was a good one, but claims that it was the only important thing that the cornerback had done all game.
"He's a TV guy, I'm not a TV guy. He didn't make any other plays in the game. But he made a good play there. He can keep talking. You make one play and you talk? Good play," Crabtree told reporters.
Sherman's deflection from a Colin Kaepernick pass diverted the ball to Malcolm Smith for an interception, allowing the Seahawks to close out a 23-17 victory and reach the Super Bowl.
