San Francisco 49ers running back Jarryd Hayne has said that he felt like he belonged in his NFL debut.
The 27-year-old made the decision to switch from playing rugby league in Australia earlier this year after an eight-year career in the NRL.
Hayne shone on his debut as he rushed for 63 yards on five carries, including one rush of 53 yards in his side's pre-season defeat to the Houston Texans.
He told The Mercury News: "I put a lot of pressure on myself. I wanted to go out there and fit in. I didn't want to go out there and look like a rugby player.
"I wanted to look like an American NFL player and I felt I did that."
Hayne made 13 caps for Australia before moving to the NFL.
