San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has insisted that the changes at the club during the off-season have been good for the team.
The 49ers parted company with head coach Jim Harbaugh at the end of the season, while offensive and defensive coordinators Greg Roman and Vic Fangio also left the team.
The NFC West side also lost several key players, including Justin Smith, Patrick Willis and Chris Borland to retirement.
However, Kaepernick feels that the changes brought in by new head coach Jim Tomsula have been good for the club.
"[I'm] very excited for the season," Kaepernick told reporters. "A lot of new faces in the locker room and a lot of new coaches. I think the changes are for the good.
"I feel very confident in our team. I feel people are writing us off, but for us, that's all right."
The 49ers open their 2015 campaign against the Minnesota Vikings on September 14.
