Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson heaps praise on San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Ted Thompson has praised Colin Kaepernick's performance against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback set a new record for most rushing yards by a QB in the playoffs, running the ball for 181 yards, as well as completing 263 passing yards in the 49ers' 45-31 win.

The Packers' general manager told Yahoo! Sports: "That was unbelievable. He did everything. I mean, I had read the press clippings and seen some of the highlights. But to watch what he did, oh my, that was special."

The 25-year-old was making his first start in the playoffs, having replaced Alex Smith part way through the regular season.

The 49ers will face the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
