British discus record-holder Lawrence Okoye reportedly met with two NFL teams last week as he looks to start an American football career.
The Detroit Free Press reports that the Olympian visited the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, before heading to the New Orleans Saints the following day.
The 21-year-old secured a place at the league's Super Regional Combine following trials in Atlanta last month where he claims to have attracted the interest of five teams.
Okoye, who played rugby union as a teenager, hopes to sign with a team as a defensive end after the draft, which takes place later this month.
