Report: Sidney Rice cleared to play again

Free agent wide receiver Sidney Rice is reportedly given the all-clear to return to football after tearing his ACL while playing for the Seattle Seahawks last season.

Free agent wide receiver Sidney Rice has been given the all-clear to return to action, according to a report.

The 27-year-old tore his ACL in October 2013 when he was playing for the Seattle Seahawks.

Unsure over his status for the 2014 season, the Seahawks chose to release Rice, but Dr James Andrews has now given him the green light to play football once again after being satisfied that he has fully recovered from the injury, reports ProFootballTalk.com.

Seattle, along with the New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants, have a reported interested in the receiver, whose future could be decided in the next week.

Rice recorded 15 receptions for 231 yards along with three touchdowns for the Seahawks last season.
