Richard Sherman has insisted that the Seattle Seahawks are confident of recovering from their difficult spell as they prepare to meet the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
A 27-23 defeat to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday has left the Seahawks with a 2-4 record ahead of their visit to Levi's Stadium, but Sherman is certain that the team will come out stronger the other side after falling behind the Arizona Cardinals and the St Louis Rams in the NFC West.
"I think sometimes these moments kind of help you improve as a team, and I think we appreciate that," the cornerback told reporters.
"We appreciate how tough it is this year. We're in a lot of these games. It'd be a different story if we were getting blown out by 40 points every week, and there's no way to fix it. But there's one mistake, one play here or there that guys just need to clean up or correct, and we're right on it."
Defeat to the 49ers would leave the Seahawks bottom of the NFC West after back-to-back trips to the Super Bowl.
