Pete Carroll hails "amazing" Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll heaps praise on his side following their 43-8 win over the Denver Broncos in last night's Super Bowl.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has heaped praise on his side following their Super Bowl triumph over the Denver Broncos last night.

The match pitted the league's best defense against a Broncos offense coming on the back of the most prolific campaign in NFL history with a record 606 points in the regular season.

However, the match proved to be no contest for the Seahawks defense as they dominated throughout on their way to a resounding 43-8 victory to pick up their first Vince Lombardi trophy in franchise history.

"This is an amazing team. Took us four years to get to this point, but they never have taken a step sideways. These guys would not take anything but winning this ballgame," Carroll told The AP.

Carroll has been in charge of the Seahawks since 2010.
