Russell Wilson: 'We've been relentless'

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson says that his side were "relentless" in their pursuit of glory this season.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has said that his side have been "relentless" in their pursuit of glory this season.

The Seahawks put in one of the best defensive displays in Super Bowl history last night, completely dominating Peyton Manning and the record-breaking offense of the Denver Broncos on their way to a 43-8 victory.

The result handed Seattle their first Vince Lombardi trophy, capping off a remarkable season in which they won the NFC with a 13-3 record, and Wilson believes that they saved their best football for the biggest stage.

"We've been relentless all season. Having that mentality of having a championship day every day. At the end of the day, you want to play your best football and that is what we did today," Wilson told The AP.

Wilson completed 18 of his 25 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns but was not named the game's MVP, with the honour being bestowed upon linebacker Malcolm Smith.
