The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have acquired guard Rishaw Johnson in a trade deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, with safety Kelcie McCray going the other way.
Johnson could be deployed at right guard for the rest of pre-season after Jamon Meredith was benched during Tampa's first warm-up fixture.
"We felt like we got a good football player. They got a good football player, too," coach Lovie Smith said of the transfer, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Johnson was a Draft pick in 2012 and represented Kansas in the right guard position last campaign.
