Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith feels that every player in the NFL has "baggage" as the club are reportedly close to signing Richie Incognito.
Incognito hit the headlines last season in the bullying scandal when at the Miami Dolphins as it emerged that he had harassed teammate Jonathan Martin.
The 31-year-old was suspended for the rest of the campaign and his contract wasn't renewed by the Dolphins, but now the Buccaneers are ready to end his spell in the NFL wilderness.
Dietrich-Smith told reporters: "I think some of the older guys would have something to say to him. It wouldn't be negative or anything like that.
"I don't think they would let the man in the locker room if they felt that it wasn't going to be a good fit. This is the NFL. Everyone has baggage."
The Buccaneers open their 2014 season against the Carolina Panthers on September 7.
