Report: Leslie Frazier takes up Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defensive coordinator role

Former Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier reportedly agrees to become the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' new defensive coordinator.

Leslie Frazier has reportedly agreed to become the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' new defensive coordinator.

The 54-year-old, who won the Super Bowl as part of the Chicago Bears in 1985, was sacked after three years as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings earlier this week.

Former Bears coach Lovie Smith has taken over at the NFC South side after the Bucs decided to part company with Greg Schiano at the end of the 2013 regular season.

According the NFL.com, Frazier has agreed to join Smith's staff, but the details of the contract still need to be finalised.

Frazier has previously had defensive coaching roles with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts.
