Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak has confirmed that quarterback Jake Locker is out for the rest of the season.
Locker sustained a foot injury during his side's defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, which forced him to leave the game.
The 25-year-old underwent tests which proved he had damaged the Lisfranc area of his foot that may require surgery but will rule him out for the year no matter what the outcome is.
Munchak told reporters: "I know how depressed he is."
Locker will be replaced by backup Ryan Fitzpatrick for the rest of the season who has filled in for the quarterback already this year when he had a hip injury.
