Jim Haslett: Washington Redskins' defense playing "pretty good"

Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett believes that the team's defense has been pretty good in the last month.

Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett has said that the team's defense has played "pretty good" in the last month.

The NFC East side have made 484 tackles, 20 sacks and six forced fumbles so far this season.

Haslett told reporters: "I feel good the way we've played the last four weeks on defense. We haven't put the perfect game together, but we've played pretty good. We had the four turnovers last week which I thought was big against that team.

"We did a nice job in the first half. We've got to do a better job in the second half even in the situations that we're put in, the defense has to step up and stop people.

"I think our guys feel good about where they're at right now and I'm looking forward to this upcoming game because, you know, we're playing a good football team, and our guys are excited about the opportunity."

The Redskins face the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
