Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has urged quarterback Robert Griffin III to do a better job of protecting himself from tackles when he returns from his knee injury.
RG III has been out of action since the regular season and although Shanahan said that he is working hard, he cannot set a date for the QB's return.
"You can't take shots consistently," ESPN quotes Shanahan as saying.
"For me to tell you anything [about the timing of his return] at this time is kind of ludicrous.
"All I can tell you, though, is when you've got a guy who's got the flexibility that he has, he's got the strength, he's got the desire to be the best at what he does, usually good things happen."
RG III threw 3,200 and rushed 815 yards last season.
