Kenya have produced a dominant display to achieve a clean sweep of the medals in the women's 3,000m steeplechase final at the Commonwealth Games.

Purity Kiruri led the way for the African nation with a time of 9:30.96, just about holding off a late burst from compatriot Milcah Cheywa on the last stretch at Hampden Park.

Bronze went to Joan Kipkemoi, who finished 12 seconds ahead of sixth-placed English runner Eilish McColgan.

Kenya also won all three medals on offer in yesterday's women's 10,000m event.
