Christine Ohuruogu hasn't thought about being at a disadvantage as the defending 400m champion at the London Games.

Team GB athlete Christine Ohuruogu is adamant that she feels no added pressure going into the London Olympic Games.

Ohuruogu goes into this summer's showcase as a defending champion after picking up gold in the 400m at the 2008 Beijing Games. The 28-year-old is starting to hit form again after numerous injury problems but says that she doesn't believe that she will be at a disadvantage as she looks to defend her medal.

"I don't really view it as defending champ to be honest," she said. "It's not really something that makes you think 'oh gosh'.

"At the end of the day I am going for the one thing that the rest of the world wants, and I think that's something that really does motivate me.

"The Olympic defending champion thing doesn't really do much for me. I'm just going there to grab something that I want."

Ohuruogu will compete in this weekend's Olympic trials.
