Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill has confirmed that she will compete for the first time in almost two years at the Great CityGames in Manchester.
The 29-year-old took a break from competitive action to give birth to her son Reggie, but will make her comeback on May 9 in the 100m hurdles at the street event.
"I'm really looking forward to making my competitive return at the Great CityGames Manchester," Ennis-Hill told the event's official website. "The atmosphere is always amazing there.
"Street athletics is a lot of fun - not only are you really close to the fans, but the energy around the Morrison's Great Manchester Run weekend is fantastic, as the elite races and the mass participation run bring the city together in a celebration of running."
Ennis-Hill's last competitive outing was when she finished fourth in the 100m hurdles at the Anniversary Games in London in July 2013.
