The World Anti-Doping Agency has revealed that its investigation into allegations of doping should be completed by the end of 2015.
The organisation is looking into a number of claims made during a German TV documentary aired by ARD last month.
It has been alleged that 150 suspicious blood samples were not looked into by the International Association of Athletic Federations, which resulted in a British athlete escaping investigation.
According to BBC Sport, a three-man panel will outline their findings by December 31, 2015 "at the latest".
The IAAF has set up its own investigation into allegations of widespread doping, as did the Russian Athletics Federation after it was claimed that 99% of Russian athletes have taken illegal substances.
