South African runner Oscar Pistorius has admitted that he was not patient enough in the 400m final at the London Olympics.
However Pistorius, who runs using carbon fibre blades on both legs, is planning to use the experience he learned during the Games to help him compete at the Paralympics.
"I didn't have patience on the day. I should have been more patient," Pistorius said.
"At the 250-metre mark I realised I had already dug quite deep. I've got used to the track and it's going to be the same passionate crowd, which I can hopefully use to my advantage."
Pistorius plans to run in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 4x100m relay at the Paralympics.
