Adam Gemili says that nothing will beat the feeling of representing Team GB at London 2012.

British sprinter Adam Gemili has admitted that his best year may already be behind him.

At 19, Gemili has said that he doubts he will top the feeling of representing Team GB at a home Olympics.

Gemili also won the world junior 100m title before narrowly missing out on the final at London 2012, despite only being a part-time athlete at the beginning of the year.

"Nothing will ever replicate how I felt at the London games. It is an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life," Gemili told The Telegraph.

"Having 80,000 people cheering for you is just the most amazing feeling in the world. I was just gobsmacked being around so many world-class athletes. I remember sitting on the bus with David Rudisha. He said 'well done for winning the world juniors.'

"Allyson Felix also said that to me. I was amazed she knew who I was. And of course the best thing was Usain Bolt coming up to me and saying congratulations as well."

Gemili was a football player at the start of the year before switching to athletics full-time.
