Great Britain's Paula Radcliffe has conceded that she may never run competitively again.
The marathon runner has not run since July 2012 when she suffered an injury that prevented her from competing at the London Olympics.
The 39-year-old had then planned to race in a 10km event this spring, but a setback has resulted in that plan being postponed.
"I'm very much in that limbo where I know and accept that realistically it may not be possible," she told BBC Sport "At the same time I have a little window of hope and I would rather be able to finish my career in a race, rather than a race I can't actually get to the start line of."
Radcliffe is a three-time winner of both the London and New York Marathon.
