Usain Bolt to run at Jamaica trials

Usain Bolt will race at the Jamaica trials for the World Championships, despite already being assured of a place in Beijing.

Usain Bolt will compete at the Jamaica trials to determine which athletes will qualify for the World Championships in Beijing this summer.

The 28-year-old is already assured of his place at the event, as the reigning 100m and 200m champion, but he will be using the trials to help improve his form.

He is expected to compete in the 100m at the national stadium in Kingston, with the heats taking place on June 25, with the semi-finals and final taking place on the following day.

Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake will also be at the trials to try to book their places in Beijing.
