Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey has heaped praise on the Brooklyn Nets following their first-round playoff victory over his side.
The Nets knocked the Raptors out of the post-season with an overall 4-3 win, which was decided as Brooklyn triumphed 104-103 in game seven.
"They put themselves in a position to win. We've been fighting a lot of stuff the entire year, fighting a lot of things," Casey said after the contest.
"That team right there [the Nets] is very talented, I don't think that's lost on anyone, you have a lot of Hall of Famers, championship pedigree. Jason [Kidd] has done a fantastic job with that team and they will give Miami a lot of trouble.
"We would have loved to be there. We put ourselves in a position, one shot, one free throw, offensive rebound here or there, that close and that's what I told the team."
The Nets will now face the Miami Heat in the next round on Tuesday.
