Cleveland Cavaliers don't expect to hire new coach soon

Cleveland Cavaliers general manager David Griffin admits that the team are not close to appointing a new coach.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have said that they are not expecting to hire a new coach "anytime soon".

The team fired Mike Brown earlier this week, having finished the 2013-14 season with just 33 wins.

General manager David Griffin told The AP that the side "don't have a real specific timetable" but do not "anticipate anything happening anytime soon".

The Cavaliers have not reached the playoffs since the 2009-10 season.
