Cleveland Cavaliers 'sign veteran James Jones'

James Jones reportedly signs a one-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers to link up with former teammate LeBron James following his release by the Miami Heat.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed veteran shooting guard James Jones, according to a report.

The 33-year-old was available on the free-agent market after his contract with the Miami Heat came to an end following six years with the club.

Jones has signed a one-year deal with the Cavaliers worth $1.4m (£817,000) and will now link up with former teammate LeBron James in Cleveland, reports the Akron Beacon Journal.

The guard averaged 4.9 points per game for the Heat last season.
