Luol Deng has said that the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to control their game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The small forward, who was making his third appearance for the Cavaliers since joining them as part of a trade last week, led the team with 27 points in their 120-118 win.
The 28-year-old told reporters: "We talked at half time about coming out with a lot of energy, and I thought we responded well. Once we got the lead, they tried to get back in the game, and it was back and forth. But I thought we did a good job of keeping the lead and controlling the game at the end."
Cleveland face the Portland Trail Blazers later today.
