Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has revealed that despite his decision to leave the franchise this summer, his former teammate LeBron James will continue to be his friend.
The pair won two NBA championships together over the last three years, but James opted to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier in the off-season.
"We got here, we teamed up, became even closer. And now it's the same thing. You know, we're still gonna be friends, and we're still gonna compete our ass off, until the day we can't compete no more," Wade said, according to Bleacher Report.
The 10-time All-Star will be entering his 12th season in the NBA and he went on to reveal that he will be looking to enjoy it more than previous years.
In addition, Wade believes that there is a renewed focus and energy within the entire Heat organisation and he is confident that they will still be able to achieve success without James.
