NBA roundup: Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors beaten

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Wednesday's games in the NBA.

The San Antonio Spurs bounced back from defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies by crushing the Dallas Mavericks.

Tony Parker and Tim Duncan proved too much for the visitors, combining for 41 points and 18 rebounds as the Mavericks were beaten by 22 points.

The Indiana Pacers were unable to recover from a quick start by the Atlanta Hawks, slipping to their 13th defeat of the season.

Kyle Korver and Pero Antic led the way as the Hawks ended a three-game losing streak against the side with the best record in the NBA this season.

The Golden State Warriors' 10-game unbeaten run came to an end against the in-form Brooklyn Nets.

Joe Johnson scored 27 points, while Kevin Garnett added 11 of his 13 in the fourth quarter to seal the narrow victory.

The Houston Rockets thrashed the Los Angeles Lakers following a dominant third-quarter performance.

The teams were closely matched in the first half, with the Lakers taking a five-point lead into half time, but James Harden led a 33-15 third quarter to give the Rockets on unassailable lead.

The Toronto Raptors capitalised on a series of second-half mistakes from the Detroit Pistons to ease their way to a comfortable win.

The Pistons had taken a narrow lead into the break, but were unable to match their first-half rhythm in the second half, allowing Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan to guide the Raptors to victory.

The Portland Trail Blazers came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Orlando Magic.

The visitors were four points up heading into the final spell, but Nicolas Batum, who was playing despite having a fractured finger, led a fearsome late charge by the Blazers, as they outscored their opponents 39-19 in the fourth.

The Los Angeles Clippers gave head coach Doc Rivers his second win against his former team when they beat the Boston Celtics.

Blake Griffin led the scoring with 29, while Jamal Crawford was also strong with 26 points as the Clippers sealed their second win in three games.

The Phoenix Suns finished strongly to clinch a narrow win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Wolves dominated the third quarter to put themselves in a good position heading into the final 12 minutes, but the Suns hit back as Gerald Green scored the game-winning points with less than four seconds left to play.

The Washington Wizards continued their recent strong form away from home with a win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

John Wall and Trevor Ariza scored 41 points between them as the Wizards secured their sixth win in seven games on the road, holding off a late charge led by Anthony Davis for the home side.
