The Los Angeles Clippers have announced that Matt Barnes will need surgery after sustaining a retinal tear earlier this week.
The small forward picked up the eye injury during the team's game against the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this week.
The 33-year-old will miss at least two weeks while recovering from the operation, ruling him out for the remainder of the month.
Barnes has suffered a string of injuries since rejoining the Clippers during the summer.
