Kendall Marshall: 'Los Angeles Lakers teammates made it easy for me'

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Kendall Marshall believes that his teammates made his job easy against the Utah Jazz.

Kendall Marshall has said that his Los Angeles Lakers teammates made it easy for him to score 20 points.

The point guard reached the career-high mark during the team's 110-99 win over the Utah Jazz last night.

The 22-year-old told reporters: "I've got to give all the thanks to my teammates. They did a great job of helping me out, as well as the coaches. When we're knocking down shots and playing defense, that makes it really easy on me.

"Everything happens for a reason, so I'm thankful for the position I'm in right now and I want to make the most of it with this team.

"We were getting up and down the floor, and I'm excited about it. But the thing I'm most excited about is starting the year with a win."

The game was Marshall's first start for the Lakers, after joining them from D-League side the Delaware 87ers last month.
