Steve Nash has said that he is hoping to return to action from a hamstring injury next week.
The Los Angeles Lakers guard, who has been hampered by a nerve problem throughout this season, injured the muscle during the team's defeat to the Washington Wizards last week.
The 40-year-old, who will not feature during the team's two-game road trip, confirmed that he should be able to return next week after taking part in a shootaround yesterday.
Nash, who is the oldest active player in the league, has averaged 7.4 points in his 11 appearances for the Lakers this season.
