Josh McRoberts has been fined $20,000 (£11,900) for striking LeBron James during the Charlotte Bobcats' playoff game against the Miami Heat earlier this week.
The power forward hit the four-time MVP in the throat with his forearm during their Heat's 101-97 win on Wednesday evenings.
After the game, McRoberts said: "We just kind of got caught up in the air there. For me, real time, he was coming pretty fast down the lane. He's a real strong guy and I was just trying to stop him from first getting the shot up. It looked worse than it was."
Despite the foul, McRoberts will not be suspended for the third game of the series, which takes place tomorrow.
