Minnesota Timberwolves to buy out Anthony Bennett contract?

A report suggests that the Minnesota Timberwolves are preparing to buy out the contract of power forward Anthony Bennett.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly ready to buy out the contract of forward Anthony Bennett.

The Timberwolves secured the signing of Bennett in a three-team trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers at the start of last season.

However, the 22-year-old failed to make an impact with the Timberwolves and the club have signalled their intent to move on from the forward.

Minnesota have failed to find a trade partner for Bennett, and as a result they are prepared to pay out his contract, reports ESPN.

Bennett was selected with the first overall pick in the 2013 Draft by the Cavaliers.
